About The Howard University Community Choir (HUCC)
ABOUT US
The Howard University Community Choir (HUCC) is a unique campus organization whose mission is to uplift the name of Jesus Christ through praise and worship. However, we have been made known as a powerful ministry, a dynamic organization, and a tight-knit family.
MINISTRY
As a ministry, HUCC adopts the philosophy that ministry is any service opportunity where we can give ourselves away to God by serving Him and His people. That being said, the choir ministers through music, community service, bible study, discipleship, and more. We seek to serve God in anyway he desires, so that our individual lives reflect the life of a true worshiper and disciple of Christ.
ORGANIZATION
HUCC is a student-led organization on the campus of Howard University. Most decisions are made by the student Executive Board and the Administration. Therefore, the choir allows college students to build young leaders who operate in integrity and strive to become technically excellent and spiritually mature.
FAMILY
Being in college miles away from home can be difficult, so HUCC also serves as a family away from home. Beyond concerts we minister to each other, love on each other, and support each other in our personal endeavors. We pray together, rejoice in praise reports, and go on spiritual retreats that focus on our personal relationships with each other and God.
